Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then went to the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for running 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium in her various events in the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
